'White Feather' is the debut release from The Kid and I. Dealing with grief and the loss of a loved one whilst falling between the cracks in life, this song contains all the key elements of what The Kid and I’s music is all about; rapid fire drums, loud guitars and big choruses.

The Kid and I is a Hertfordshire based Alternative Indie Rock music project created by multi-instrumentalist Jacob Powell. Started in 2020 during the Covid 19 lockdown, The Kid and I originated in a garage, learning to record and produce original music by himself, taking inspiration from the likes of Dave Grohl, Gaz Coombes and Mac Demarco to name a few.

Mixing thundering drums, loud lead guitars and heart on your sleeve lyrics, The Kid and I blends fast paced Indie Rock music with Alternative Rock and Power Pop sensibilities, drawing lyrical inspiration from topics such as loss, relationships and coming of age in an uncertain world.
